Chess Table PT2 Base and Finish
Here is the Chess table all done. I had several mishaps in this and had to correct them before I could release the final video. Main one being I had the Chessboard 90 degrees out of whack. Though it is not in the video I ended up cutting the top apart and turning the board 90 degrees and remaking the trays and outer edgeband. I'm not really a chess player so didn't realize it till a friend pointed it out. But it is fixed by the end of the video.

Building a Chess Table part 1 The Top
Просмотров 5569 месяцев назад
I know it's been a long time since I have uploaded a video. I had hit a creators block and couldn't come up with an idea for a video. However by watching random YT videos I came across chess players, and thought why not build a chess table. So here we are with part 1, where I will make the table top. Enjoy! Refinishing Congas
Просмотров 7 тыс.Год назад
My friend Corey had a set of Congas he wanted refinished and actually requested a video of the process as well. So here it is How to refinish Congas. This method can only be used on solid wood congas, if you drums are plywood then you can't sand them the way I do here. Why do you fill it with shavings at the end is it help it to cure some how awesome vidio thanks I'm learning trying to make my own awesome rig thanks
That's cool design my friend. My son is building one for a school project, thank you.
I just ordered one and even though it was a lot of money for me, watching this made me realize I got a bargain!! 🦋🦋🦋
Its been 8 months since youve uploaded any content. Is Cy doing ok?
Went through a bad time, getting better. Hoping to get new content up in the next few weeks. Of course I have been telling myself that for weeks too LOL.

Me gustaria hacerlo pero necesito la plantilla
Handle looks like black locust.
Good one. I made one too recently with a leaf blower. Wish I had come across your video earlier to save me time wasted on searching for a compatible vacuum cleaner
Great idea, this slingshot can be used to shoot arrows or just add a magnet near the trigger to shoot iron balls, very cool
Been after Mead horn stand for some time to stand my horn in when drinking. Decided to make my own. Got a block of wood. This video helps. Great stand looks fab.
Come here for steel drum meditation and get power saws😮
I think those big dogs are worthless on that size of saw, for me anyway. I prefer the smaller ones, since they are closer together. I think they just work better. Maybe those big dogs would help more in a thick bark, but what limbs I use to cut never had a super thick bark that needed it. But I'm not a professional and never have been, so I sure could be wrong. Lol I loved the video. I just bought the G111 because I missed my Stihl ms200t and can't afford even a used one anymore. So I'm glad to see your clone saw is working so well. I'm looking forward to seeing or hearing about what your friend thinks about it and how well it works for him. 😎👍
Hello, I need help. I have a Great American by Disston 1-2 men saw and need a handle and helper handles for it. Could I be your customer? Any help on this matter is appreciated. I can't find handles anywhere ?! Thank You!
So did this get finished 🤔🤔
It is completely Built but I never got it to run unfortunately. Should have done a "will it run" video to start. And since there is no title I kinda just gave up on it.
Looking good. I built two several years ago of different Heights, and have been using them. The only difference is I used railroad spikes instead of bolts. Thanks for sharing. It brought back some fond memories.
Gorgeous job more natural now and beautiful
Beautiful, after sanding do use a dry or damp cloth to wipe off the saw dust? Thanks for this excellent tutorial
So good with best science / technology 👍
Fica o pé do galo
Use the proper tool for the task !!
I am a little confused with your comment. I rewatched this video to see what you were talking about and saw no point where I misused a tool. Then I took a look at your You Tube content and saw that you Have none. So may I suggest that if you have a problem with the way a person conducts a certain process you have content up PRIOR to that comment that shows your idea of the "proper way". Otherwise you only sound like another Keyboard Warrior. I have been welding, cutting and creating for well over 40 years. I do have an idea of what I am doing. But thanks for the engagement it really helps my channel.
Excellent practical project, I’ve learnt a great deal from this project and have been inspired to attempt something similar. Well done !
Your very intelligent man. I loved this idea to the fullest. I wish you were close to me to make me one. I wheeled over 100 wheelbarrows wood about 300 ft in 5 different days. Lot work. Heavy to carry to. Lot walking involved. If I had this rig I could hook it up to my ride on and made the job alot easier. I don,t no how to make stuff and for sure don,t no how to weld. Take care bud. Hope you come up with more great idea,s for more video,s to come.
Did u ever get running
Muito top vc poderia destor o projeto
need the measurements!
kudos. that s a neccesary modification mine bends. Ill be doing this one for sure
I admire your hand carving.
Thx for sharing
I'd use cement and post
Where do we find the WORX clamping sawhorse? I have looked on there web sites but no luck finding the one you are using. Please give us a clue !
I bought mine at Menards. I just checked their website and looks like they stopped carrying it. But if you search Jaw Horse on amazon they have many versions.
I have been grinding out bowls for some time now! It definitely makes a big mess and when you get down to the finer toothed discs its the dust that goes everywhere. I haven’t used Arborteck yet but might look into it. Nice work by the way!
Hi, I bought an old set of Toca elite series congas. They have the same badges that those drums have. They do not have the metal badge that says elite series like the newer ones. Do you happen to know when those drums were made ? I can't seem to figure it out. Nice work
I do not know. I think the owner said they were from the 1960's but Not 100% sure of that.
@@DIYwithUncleCy thanks
Do you have to tighten the chain first before tightening the cover down all the way does it matter or no
Yes the cover has to be slightly loose in order for the bar to move when tightening the chain.
@@DIYwithUncleCy good to know thanks
Excellent
Happy birthday Cy
that dust hood is from a Parks planer, I have one on my Parks planer and I bought the hood directly from Parks back when they were still in business back in the 1980s. when I bought my planer in 1979 I had been looking for one of those Powermatics but had to make a move and got the Parks that became available instead. They are both great machines but I think I would still prefer the Powermatic. good video!
Hows that farmertec saw running these days?
Ficou ótimo o trabalho.
I was wondering how these are made after seeing some for sale at an art show. Now I know why they cost $500 and more. Lots of hard work and fine tuning. You played it beautifully.
This video is so awesome, great job!
Id like to see it after being tuned, its way to fat ,you can hear it
Good video, it was helpful.
That is glass wooĺ? I think this material my friend is very very dangerus!
Amazing, for along time I searched, but this video encourage me to make them.
